In May 2021, as part of the pilot project of the Innotech XXI Charitable Foundation for the Support of the Revival of Russian Church Architecture, Trimetari Consulting LLC specialists carried out work on laser scanning of the Annunciation Iono-Yashezersky Monastery. The work included scanning the complex of monastic buildings, as well as the preserved Transfiguration Church. In March 2018 Trimetari Consulting LLC performed a measurement of the building of the Palace of Children’s Youth Creativity named after L.N. Maklakova in Kirishi, Russia by the method of ground-based laser scanning. To carry out total building renovation in 2017, design and estimate documentation was developed and passed the expertise. The power supply, heating, ventilation, sewerage systems will be completely replaced in the building, internal interiors will be updated. In December 2017, Trimetari Consulting LLC successfully completed its participation in the international project of construction control of Burj Al-Rajhi – a 50-story skyscraper in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh. During the construction of the tower, modern technologies were used, including building information modeling (BIM). In November 2017 experts of the company Trimetari Consulting LLC completed the work on ground laser scanning and BIM-modeling of the train shed of the Yuzhnyi Railway Station in Kaliningrad City, Russia. The train shed of the station is a steel frame structure with dimensions of 176 x 118 m and a height of 15.5 m. Based on the results of laser scanning, a BIM model was created in the Autodesk Revit software package. The 3D model includes the main and auxiliary structural elements: supporting columns, arches, lantern farms, beams and cover runs, vertical and horizontal links, roofing, stained glass systems – the whole model holds more than 27,000 elements. In November 2017, Trimetari Consulting LLC team completed laser scanning of the facades of the station building in Petrozavodsk, Karelia. The survey was carried out with the aim of drawing up architectural drawings of the facades for the design of the restoration. For 1 day of measurement work, the field team, equipped with the ScanStation P40, the latest model of the Swiss manufacturer of 3D scanners, Leica Geosystems, performed laser scanning of the facades and roofing of the building. In September 2017, a laser scanning project of YANSAB oil refinery (Yanbu’ al-Bahr, Saudi Arabia) was completed. Specialists from Trimetari Consulting took part in this laser scanning work, including office processing stage. The result of the work on laser scanning – a point cloud – is used by the customer’s design department to design the reconstruction of the enterprise using CAD AVEVA. The result of the design, based on accurate point cloud, contains much less collisions and spatial clashes, that can significantly save time and money during further construction and installation works. In July 2017, Trimetari Consulting completed its participation in the project of measuring bulk materials in warehouses of Hadeed metal plant (Jubail industrial zone, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) by laser scanning. Within the framework of the project, a quarterly measurement of stock balances for inventory and accounting purposes was carried out. The method of ground-based laser scanning allows ones high accuracy (relative error less than 1%) and high speed measurement of the volume of balances in warehouses. The company’s reports on the results of measurements have passed the accuracy test performed by the customer using other methods of measuring the volume and weight of bulk materials. (read more…)

In February 2017 Trimetari Consulting LLC performed laser scanning of the building of Ballet Theater named after Jakobson, St. Petersburg, Russia. As a result of laser scanning, a point cloud with a mean-square error of 4 mm was obtained. The work was carried out with the Leica ScanStation C10 laser scanner. The results are presented as a point cloud in Autodesk RCP format, Leica Truview panorama service with the ability to measure and annotate, as well as a set of measurement drawings including facades, sections and details. In the Book of reports of the annual 2016 scientific conference of the Institute for the History of Natural Science and Technology named after S.I. Vavilov of Russian Academy of Sciences, authored by A. V. Leonov, M. N. Anikushkin, the article “Laser scanning of the cruiser “Aurora” and the sculpture “The Motherland calls!”: Digital preservation of Soviet symbols” was published. The publication discusses the issues of preserving objects of scientific and technical heritage, provides examples of foreign experience in the use of 3D technologies, describes projects for the preservation and museification of Russian significant monuments. An article with minor cuts is published on our website. English version of the article has been published at GIM International Magazine 09.08.2016.
In the September issue of GIM-International magazine for 2016 (No. 9), the article “Serious Gaming for Facility Management” was published by the authors Anikushkin M. In June 2016 Trimetari Consulting LLC finished laser scanning of interiors of Mercury City Tower. Located in Moscow-City business center, Mercury skyscrapper is a 3rd tallest building in Europe (338,8 m). Architecture measurement using 3D laser scanning has been carried out at 8 floors of the tower. The result of laser scanning will be used for design of interiors.
In April 2016, the company Trimetari Consulting completed the laser scanning of the building of the Finland Station in St. Petersburg. The works were performed by the Leica ScanStation P40 laser scanner in real-color shooting mode in the extended dynamic range (HDR). In April 2016, specialists of Trimetari Consulting completed a laser scanning project at the Sayanal factory (the Republic of Khakassia, Russia), part of RusAl group. Sayanal is the largest Russian plant for the production of foil and packaging materials based on it. The plant is the leader of the Russian foil-rolling industry in terms of output and variety of assortment. In February 2016, the specialists of the company Trimetari Consulting LLC handed over the latest report materials on the project of the topographic mapping of the King Khalid international airport (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia). Laser scanning of the airport was required for a large-scale reconstruction in connection with a sharp increase in passenger traffic. In December 2015, the company Trimetari Consulting LLC performed laser scanning of the world-famous sculpture The Motherland Calls on Mamayev Kurgan in Volgograd, Russia. The statue has a height of 85 m, at the time of its creation it was the highest sculpture in the world. To date, the work of sculptor Yevgeniy Vuchetich and engineer Nikolai Nikitin is the highest statue of Russia and Europe.
The monument built from 1959 to 1967 is the central part of the triptych, which also consists of the sculptures “Rear-Front” in Magnitogorsk and “Warrior-Liberator” in Berlin’s Treptower Park. It is understood that the sword, forged on the bank of the Urals, was later raised by Motherland in Stalingrad and dropped after the Victory in Berlin.
From March to November 2015, Trimetari Consulting specialists performed a series of laser scanning of administrative and public buildings in the cities of Syktyvkar, Ryazan, Salekhard, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Volgograd (Russia). The purpose of laser scanning is to create 3D-models of facades for designing video mapping (3D mapping). In May 2014 specialists of Trimetari Consulting LLC completed the work on architectural measurements by laser scanning of the building of the Naval Academy named after N.G. Kuznetsova, St. Petersburg, Russia. Based on the results of the 3D laser scanning, it was required to perform dimensional drawings of the interior spaces and ladders, including: plans, vertical sections, sweeps of walls with bas-reliefs, ceilings, as well as details, doorfills, staircase barriers and templates. The work was carried out by the laser scanner FARO Focus 3D.
The results of 3D scanning are provided to the customer in the form of a point cloud in a format suitable for import into Autodesk AutoCAD and a complete set of measurement drawings.
