In January 2018, the company Trimetari Consulting LLC carried out work on laser scanning and 3D modeling of the under-furnace space of walking-type furnaces of the Vyksa Steel Works. The aim of the work is to produce a geometric 3D model in the Autodesk DWG file format for further design of the furnace cleaning system.
3D-model finally includes all technological equipment, metal structures, concrete foundations, communications, including cable routes, ventilation systems.
Vyksa Metallurgical Plant is one of the oldest centers of Russian metallurgy. Located in the Nizhny Novgorod region, Russia, founded in 1757. Today it is a dynamically developing enterprise, one of the leaders of pipe and wheel production, a participant of the largest Russian and world oil and gas projects. Since 1999, it is a member of the United Metallurgical Company (AO OMK). It is located in the town of Vyksa.
