3D Laser Scanning Training for Staff of St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University

In July 2012, specialists from Trimetari Consulting, as part of a joint project with Effektivnye Tekhnologii (Effective Technologies) in St. Petersburg, conducted an advanced training course on 3D laser scanning technology for the staff of St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University. The Polytechnic University is a multifunctional state higher education institution with the status of a national research university, playing a significant role in both personnel training and multidisciplinary scientific research and development. In the ranking of technical universities in Russia, the Polytechnic University consistently holds leading positions.

The scanning course includes not only the theoretical foundations of laser scanning technology and point cloud processing, but also the consolidation of practical skills in working with 3D scanners and processing software.
